From Processes to Pipelines.
Hi! I’m Derick Velez and I am an aspiring Data Engineer and Python developer with background in Industrial Engineering. I originally started my career in production planning and process engineering, an experience which helped me hone my skills in problem-solving, data analysis, and process optimization
After working on data-driven tasks in these roles, I transitioned into web development, where I developed a strong interest in backend systems and data workflows. I’m now focused on Python development, specializing in building and maintaining data pipelines, automating processes, and working with modern data orchestration tools.
I strive to build systems that are efficient, reliable, and scalable. I enjoy learning new ways to contribute, develop projects, and grow as a contributing member of the tech field.
